Who we are

Bolivia grows less than 1% of the world's coffee, and some of its highest.

Slower maturation at these elevations creates exceptional clarity, structure, and a flavour profile found nowhere else.

Altura Andes brings that coffee from Bolivia and Peru directly to the UK. We are proudly Bolivian, carrying the warmth and traditions of our homeland into everything we do.

Los Yungas, Bolivia

Why altitude makes us different

Our coffee grows in some of the highest coffee-growing regions on earth. The result: rare, distinctive coffee found nowhere else.

  • 01

    Slower cherry development

Cool temperatures let sugars and flavours build fully, for extraordinary depth.

  • 02

    Denser beans

Harder, denser beans, prized for roasting and flavour retention.

  • 03

    Bright, vibrant acidity

Cool nights and strong sun give a naturally lively, clean acidity.

The person behind the cup

Hi, I'm Brenda, founder of Altura Andes

I was born and raised in Bolivia, and Bolivia has never left me. In 2020 I returned to land my grandparents once owned, now coffee farms. Standing on that soil, something shifted, and I came home to London with a mission.

Altura Andes is my way of honouring all of that: elevating extraordinary coffee, paying farmers fairly, and helping the children who need it most.
